Managing Finances After Baby

Hi friends happy, happy Thursday the weekend is almost here some of you may opt to relax or even catch up on some errands.

Today I would like to share some tips on how to manage your finances after a baby is born.  With a baby comes great joy and happiness but also a baby is can be quite costly if finances are not managed well. Therefore budgeting is essential; budgeting can help you and your family take the first step towards control of your money. It can also help you avoid debt. And it lets you get on with being a family, rather than spending too much time worrying about your finances.

The key to budgeting is sticking to a basic rule – spend less than you earn.

  • One way to start budgeting is to list what you earn, spend money on and owe.
  • After you’ve accounted for essentials and emergencies, your aim is to have money left over to spend on things you want.
  • If you can, it’s also good to put a set amount towards savings each week or month. This way you’ll have money for unexpected expenses, emergencies and long-term goals, like house repairs or renovations, family illnesses or family holidays.
  • You and your spouse can discuss splitting the bills; each partner pays for certain bills. One partner pays the mortgage, while the other partner pays for groceries and car insurance
  • Each week or month, try to budget a specific amount for expenses, fun, leisure and savings – and then stick to it. This is usually the hard part!

Different families handle budgeting and money management in different ways. But the general goal of  budgeting to gain a greater understanding of your  yearly, monthly or weekly expenses. By doing this you will have a clear idea of what you have left over; in that way you will be able to manage your wants and needs so that bad financial management is minimized and you will be on the road to making smarter  financial choices.

Gratitude

Hello everyone Happy, Happy Tuesday, I trust everyone is fine and in good health. Today I woke up immensely grateful for everything.  Some days are tough, some days are crazy and then there are some days where you are trying to find that little ounce of motivation to carry you through; but despite it all I am grateful.

At times life doesn’t go as planned but what I do know- everything ALWAYS WORKS OUT .

Today I am Grateful because:

  • I am grateful that I woke up this morning.
  • I am grateful for health.
  • I am grateful for my family and my support system.
  • I am grateful because I can go to work this morning to be able to provide for my family.

Today I choose to live with gratitude for the love that fills my heart, the peace that rests within my spirit, and the voice of hope that says all things are possible.” –  Anonymous

Dear Mamma: You are Worthy

Dear mamma,

I know it’s though some days are just overwhelming but everything is going to be fine. To the mamma who feels like she’s drowning I urge you not to worry, it’s all part of motherhood, it’s all part of  the journey.

To the mamma who doesn’t feel beautiful; you are amazing you created life, you the backbone of your household, you are strong, you are beautiful.

To the mamma who wants her body back I know it’s hard looking back at those pre-baby photos. You are allowed all the time necessary to get back into shape; do not rush the process every woman is different. Trust the process everything will be fine

To the mamma who is depressed and angry there is no harm in talking to someone about your problems; seek help tell someone how you feel.

To the stay at home mom who doesn’t feel worthy, mamma you are doing a priceless job of raising your children. Nothing can replace those memories.

Motherhood is tough, it’s challenging everyday there is a new experience. Some days are frustrating, some days are emotional, some days are crazy, some days you want to give up. A mother’s job is never done. But in the end its the smile on our little ones’ face that makes everything worthwhile and makes our heart throb.

Mothers leave all their personal needs behind so their children can have everything they need. They will not sleep or eat until you come home and they know you’re safe and sound. Mothers will protect their children with the price of their own lives – Unknown

Be kind to yourself always, until next time…………………………….

Life Update

Hi friends and fellow mammas happy, happy Sunday I hope everyone is fine and doing well. Its been a awhile since my last post. I have been so busy and so caught up with so many things.  Being a working mamma is no joke but nonetheless it goes with the territory.

The Last Few Months

During the last few months so much has happened

  • I started a new job after being home for almost ten months with  my daughter, that time I spent with her is invaluable and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
  • My new job didn’t start off as I anticipated; there were challenges and I became so stressed out. I decided to make a decision and I stayed at that job for two and a half months; I started another job this month and I am looking forward to what the weeks and months have to offer. I must admit it feels great to be working again but I do miss being at home with my daughter.
  • I also lost some weight which is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Daughter Turned 1

On September 13th my baby girl turned 1, wow!!!! time went by so quickly she is growing so fast, she has her own personality, very inquisitive, sleeps well and she is not a picky eater. I am truly blessed to be her mom.

Taking Everything Day by Day

Personally life is good I have no complaints everyday may not be the best day but, there is a lot I am thankful for.

Relax A Little

Hi friends and fellow mammas, happy, happy Saturday I hope everyone is fine and doing well. Sometimes life gets crazy but it’s also important to make time for you and those you care about , we often get caught up in the hustle and bustle of our everyday routine and forget about what really matters. Life is about living, engaging in new experiences and enjoying the little things we take for granted.

“Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation, for when you come back to your work your judgment will be surer. Go some distance away because then the work appears smaller and more of it can be taken in at a glance and a lack of harmony and proportion is more readily seen”.

Life Update: New Beginnings

Hi friends and fellow mammas happy, happy Monday. I hope everyone is fine and in good health, it’s a new week so let’s make it amazing. Also let’s take a moment to acknowledge how wonderful life is and how blessed we are.

Where do I start its been almost six months since I’ve started this blog and I have no regrets I started writing this blog just as a hobby but now I’m excited to see where it goes. I would like to thank all those who have followed my blog and all those who have shown so much love.

My Daughter

Wow!!!! my little angel is growing so fast she’s four days away from being officially 10 months old, its true what they say your babies grow up really, really fast. It still feels so surreal her birth, bringing her home and starting motherhood. She’s just amazing, perfect in every way. She has started daycare and she is doing really great and adjusted really well I can’t imagine life without my little girl.

My Time As A Stay At Home Mom

My daughter was born on September 13th, 2017 and to date I have not left her side, I have been so greatful to be a present mother to my daughter because I know many moms have limited maternity leave and have to return to their jobs after three or four months. Being a stay at home mother was no walk in the park because being a mother is a 24/7 job with no days off and no holidays; things got crazy at times and still do but it’s all part of motherhood and i’ve embraced it all. I kept myself busy by exercising, maintaining my blog and brainstorming business ideas because I would like to own a successful business one day.

Stepping Back Into The Corporate World

At the beginning of 2018 I started actively looking for a new job; I will admit it was rough going to job interviews and receiving no call back and wondering where I went wrong but I wasn’t shattered. I tried and I tried again; applying wherever my skills and experienced matched. Then two weeks ago I received an unexpected phone call that’s going to pave the way for new beginnings.

Starting A New Job Soon

I will be starting a new job I’m excited and nervous but “I’M EXCITED. I know it’s a brand new change and I AM READY. I’m ready to be a working mamma, I’m ready to embrace this change and I am ready to be the best that I can be.

We are often scared to make a change, scared to step out of our comfort zone and scared to say yes to an opportunity but remember my friends CHANGE IS THE ONLY CONSTANT………… So many others before you have changed their life for the better. Why not you?

Be kind to yourself always; until next time………………
